Have a look at askthelocals.co.za . We are setting up a Writers Workshop to explore the opportunities available to web content writers. Not quite poetry but you are more likely to find someone to guide you across there.

Hi,I am vukile dasoyi and I am a poetry,I am looking someone who can help me to publish my book of English poetry title call You and I.
You and I
We are twins
Your big brown eyes are mine
And mine are yours.

You and I we are twins
And to me you like music you took control
Of my soul.

You and I we are twins
When I see ... ( not finished)

I am not sure if I agree with everything you have said. When you refer to blogging, you pre-suppose that the bloggers are capable of expressing themselves and communicating effectively. And this, in my mind, is the stuff one gets into at the after party.

I believe that almost anyone, everyone is capable of making themselves useful in one way or another. This irrespective of whether they can spell or even string a sentance together. And if this is possible, and if they can get themselves seen, they will get used. This to me, is the key to what has to be the most exciting, the most powerful personal empowerment tool we have ever had access to.

As an example, all anyone has to do is to build a list of resources people use, to keep it current and to offer advice and recommendations. That is as complicated as it ever needs to get. Gathering, sorting and organising a resource.

If ithe resource is really useful it is going to get used, that is, if it gets seen. And that is as far as one has to go. More than that, is merely dressing the window dummy for the occasion.

What’s more once an individual has learnt how to fish on the web. Once they have learnt how to get their resource seen, they have every incentive to train the next person and to build a proactive community of service providers. This, turning the ages old concept of competition on it’s head. In other words once you have learnt the way to tie the knots it is in your interest to find someone to tie the next and the next, so that you build a net that serves all.

Frightening stuff isn’t it?

Thanks Tedius for that comment I have learned something new from you about the water. The idea of water generating electricity is so eye opening to me ,to me that means that everything on this planet is connected .We need just to open our minds and think out of the box.Thanks.

Hie Bonnie
the issue of recycling is one of the things that we have to take into actions seriously. i am sure you will agree with me that a man is a very dangerious animal on earth. this technology has totally killed the earth and its one of the things that has driven a man very crazy. but can this technology help as to solve this problem to sustain the earth for the future generation? i was working on a lodge where we had trout fish. we got the water from the river into the the tanks. fish use the water then the water goes through the the filtration channel into the water turbunes where we use this water to generate electricity then it goes back into the river. that is re-using the water that has been used by the fish for electicity and that is green electricity. they drive recycling stuff out its about 60km out of knysna but they still do it because they love the nature why not as in town we are only metres away from the recycling points. do we need some one to tell as about the goodness of reducing waste. everyone can see but we don't just want to take the actions.

True enough. But there is training and then there is empowerment. And more often than not the two do not go hand in hand. After the first course there is always another course. And the question that must be asked is how often do all these courses translate into a revenue stream and the opportunities needed to turn effort into income?

Before you can start training others "to train" you need to prove that you can apply what you have learnt and put the net to work yourself. If you can empower yourself, you can go on to become a trainer.

And we are going to start by profiling the Soup Kitchens in Knysna, the people behind them and the work they are doing. We are also going to build a site that addresses life on the streets of Eden. Why not post your friends poetry on this site? I can then show you how to get it onto Google.
